Regis Homes has developed over 9,000 units of housing in California and its infill projects include CityPark and Atherton Place. CityPark, in Foster City, consists of 42 market-rate town homes and 60 affordable senior apartments. Developed with the Foster City Redevelopment Agency and BRIDGE Housing Corp., the 2.5-acre site connects with its surroundings. Bounded on one side by an office building and retail on the other, the site had an existing one-acre park in its center. Through its pedestrian-friendly design, the project helped to connect the residential areas to surrounding streets and the park, and to encourage interaction between residents, office workers, and shoppers. CityPark has won multiple awards, including Gold Nugget’s Best Infill Plan.
Atherton Place, in Hayward, consists of 83 town homes on a 2.8-acre site in the city’s downtownredevelopment area. The winner of two Gold Nugget Awards, the project is located adjacent to the Hayward BART station, and furthered the city’s goal of attracting high-density ownership housing to this location.
