Thoreau Center for Sustainability
Equity Community Builders provides project management and development expertise for infill housing and commercial projects throughout the Bay Area. ECB specializes in developing prototypes that demonstrate the creative reuse or redevelopment of underutilized buildings and urban land. ECB recently developed the Thoreau Center for Sustainability at the Presidio as a model for historic building rehabilitation with “green building materials and systems.” ECB often partners with public agencies or non-profit organizations, managing all aspects of a project from concept design and financing to construction, supervision, and marketing.
